My Dad is a veteran but didn’t actually go overseas. He was stationed in ALASKA at the time but wasn’t deployed. He is now disabled but I’m not sure if its linked to serving (I have a hunch…probably not). Since the war, he’s always been an alcoholic and sometimes a drug addict. My husband and I are hoping to go the Purdue Univ. next fall and move with our 2 young daughters to both attend school. I’m 31 and haven’t attended college before, my husband has. Can I get any help from the Veterans Association as far as scholarships? How can I find out. I’m not even sure where to begin.

I currently do high jump and I’m a sophmore in high school. I was just wondering what the standards were to get a full ride to a D-1 school. I have over a 4.0 so hopefully they will be a little lenient soo please help me out just wondering what I need to get to.

I’m looking at a few schools, however, I am worried about the money issues. When colleges give out scholarships, do they give academic scholarships considering grades, SAT scores, GPA, etc or is only based on merit and PSAT Scores? I am not quite sure how it works!

If anyone is willing to explain me some more detail it would be greatly appreciated! Scholarships from the school itself, not scholarships that you need to apply for from a program, etc. Thanks!
