How much community service for scholarship/college?

I dont know how much I should do or how much would suffice. My mom keeps telling me the only thing that matters is community service for scholarship, etc. but I feel its not really going to help me. I’m going to be a senior when school starts in the fall and I only have about 10-15 hours in one place. So its not like I can do 400 hours now. But how many HOURS and PLACES should I do? (for a scholarship and for college)
